“I don’t know where to start”

Odours come from something, and that something is almost always still in the car. Smoke, milk, pets, gym gear, food. We treat the source rather than spraying over it, which is why the smell does not come back a week later once the air freshener wears off.
What an Interior Detail Includes

Winter Salt Does Not Vacuum Out
By February, most Chicago cars have a white tidemark across the driver’s carpet and mats. That is road salt, walked in on boots and dissolved into the fibres, and a vacuum will not touch it because it is not sitting on top of the carpet — it is in it. Salt also holds moisture, which is where the damp smell in a winter car usually comes from.
Hot-water extraction dissolves the salt and pulls it back out, which is the only method that actually clears it. It is the single most requested interior job we do between January and April, and it is worth booking before the mats dry out and set.
Pet Hair, Properly Removed
Pet hair weaves itself into upholstery and carpet — a vacuum lifts the loose top layer and leaves the rest behind, which is why it looks clean until the light hits it.
